Welcome

Welcome to the Bellingham School District Special Olympics blog!

On this blog you will find all current information, forms and links necessary to participate in the following programs:

Fall - Bowling
Winter - Basketball
Spring - Athletics
Spring - Unified Soccer (middle/high school only)

Eligibility Requirements:
   Ages 8-21 years
Identified as having an intellectual disability
Currently resides in the boundaries of the Bellingham School District

Enter your email address into the "follow by email" box to receive the most updated information directly to your inbox.

This blog will be used as a way to communicate with athletes, families, volunteers, coaches and community members rather than trying to maintain a current updated email list. Please spread the word regarding this blog to anyone that may be interested and encourage them to "follow by email".

At the beginning of each season, a flier for the upcoming sport will be added to the "Sports Info" section on the right. The flier will include dates, times and locations for practices and tournaments. (Note that Unified Soccer is a link to a different blog due to the amount of information that needs to be dispensed.)

Athletes need a current AFP (Application for Participation) including a physical by a doctor on file with the District in order to participate. You will find a link to the AFP on the right of this page. An AFP is good for 3 years once completed.

Volunteers and Coaches need to complete a Volunteer Registration Form and a WA State Patrol Background Clearance in order to participate. You will find a link to both of these forms on the right of this page.

Thank you for your interest in BSD Special Olympics.
Please contact Dominique Lantagne through email if you have any questions.
